About TechForGov

What is TechForGov?
TechForGov is a public sector technology platform built for the way local government actually works. We’re based right here in Chester County, PA, and we help towns, municipalities, counties, and school districts digitize services, reduce staff workload, and improve the resident experience through a modular AI and workflow platform.
Towns, municipalities, counties, authorities, and school districts, primarily in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with broader Mid-Atlantic reach.
We have live deployments with agencies in New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, and New York. We’re actively expanding into Pennsylvania and across the broader Mid-Atlantic region.
We’re built specifically for public sector constraints: limited staff capacity, existing legacy systems, compliance requirements, accessibility standards, and resident trust. Every product is governed by design, meaning it works within approved content and defined guardrails rather than generating open-ended responses.

About IGNA®

What is IGNA®?
IGNA (Intelligent Governance for Next Gen Autonomy) is TechForGov’s patent-pending modular AI and digital government platform. It brings together AI assistants, digital forms, permit workflows, notifications, case management, internal knowledge access, and analytics into one practical ecosystem. And it’s not a heavy lift for your IT team, IGNA works alongside the systems you already have. Think of it as giving your team a few superpowers: less time on the repetitive, time-consuming stuff, more time on the work only your team can actually do.
IGNA is a growing library of AI modules, not a fixed set. We add new modules as real agency use cases come up, so the library today includes things like a website chat assistant, phone-based voice support, forms, permitting, case management, finance support, IT helpdesk support, and records request assistance, with more added as agency needs evolve. Agencies can start with a single module and expand from there.
No. IGNA is designed to start small, and we’d actually recommend against it. Pick the one thing eating up the most staff time, the boring, repetitive work nobody wants on their plate, and let IGNA take it off your hands first. Most agencies begin with one department, one service line, or one resident-facing use case. Prove it out, feel the impact, then scale from there.
It means every IGNA product operates within approved agency content and defined guardrails. Modules use agency-approved information, avoid making final legal, financial, medical, emergency, or policy decisions, and route complex or sensitive questions to staff rather than guessing.

Products

What does IGNA Chat do?
IGNA Chat is a 24/7 AI website assistant. It answers questions about hours, services, permits, forms, payments, and contacts, and guides residents to the right page, form, department, or next step, using only agency-approved content.
IGNA Voice picks up the phone. It answers routine calls, works across languages, and routes residents to the right department, staff contact, voicemail, or service line, so your front office isn’t fielding the same five questions all day.
IGNA Finance gives finance teams a faster way in: budgets, spending, vendors, accounts, and transactions, plus summaries for leadership, council meetings, audits, and internal reviews. Cloud or on-premise, your call.
IGNA Helpdesk helps your IT team clear the backlog: password resets, access issues, software questions, and the rest of the day-to-day tickets. It works alongside the systems you already have, not instead of them.
Yes. IGNA for School Districts starts with three practical entry points built around district-approved information: a family-facing chat assistant (enrollment, calendars, lunch programs, closings), a staff chat assistant for internal HR, IT, and procedural questions, and phone-based voice support for common district calls.
Yes, this is supported through IGNA Right to Know. It helps staff research responsive records, draft the response, and apply the required redactions, then staff or your solicitor reviews before anything is sent out. It supports frameworks including NJ OPRA, Daniel’s Law, and PA RTKL.

Trust, Accuracy & Guardrails

How does IGNA keep our data secure and separate from other agencies?
IGNA uses large language model (LLM) technology, but it runs inside a walled-off environment built specifically for local government. Nothing about IGNA touches the open internet or public AI models, it only knows what your agency approves it to know. Your data is never used to train public AI models, and every response stays inside a governed, audited environment your team controls. It’s part of why IGNA is patent-pending: a platform purpose-built for the constraints of local government, not a repurposed consumer chatbot.
IGNA products only use agency-approved content, documents, and data sources. When information is missing or unclear, IGNA is built to flag that rather than guess or make assumptions.
No. IGNA works on a Human in the Lead model: it supports public servants, not replace them. It avoids making final legal, financial, medical, emergency, or policy decisions, and anything complex or sensitive gets routed to staff.
The resident or staff member is handed off to the right contact, department, or next step rather than getting an incomplete or unsupported answer.
Yes. Our patent-pending IGNA platform supports 78+ languages to help serve diverse communities.
Yes. IGNA is built to ADA and Section 508 accessibility standards.
IGNA products are designed to be privacy-aware and can be configured to avoid collecting unnecessary personal information. Role-based access controls ensure users only see information they’re permitted to access.

Deployment & Integration

Is IGNA cloud-based or on-premise?
Both options are available. Agencies can choose a secure cloud environment or keep IGNA within their own controlled on-premise environment, depending on the module and agency preference.
Yes. IGNA is built to connect with existing systems agencies already use, including websites, documents, databases, Microsoft 365, and other platforms.
Most agencies can start with a single department, workflow, or resident-facing service and go live within weeks, then expand from there.

Getting Started

How do we get started with TechForGov?
Start with the use case that’s costing you the most time today, often the one that shouldn’t need to. For a lot of agencies that’s public records requests, or answering the same resident questions again and again. We’ll work with your team to configure the product around your approved content and existing workflows.
Implementation covers product setup, configuration around your approved content, staff training, governance setup, and ongoing improvement as usage grows.
No. IGNA is designed for agencies with limited IT capacity. Setup and ongoing management are built to be manageable without a large technical team, and TechForGov supports implementation and configuration.
